I have begun to review supplements once again and this review of Clif Builder's Bar will be the first of many reviews of protein and energy bars which will be posted on this website. Continue to check for updates as time goes by.

I did enjoy the taste of the bar, and I will discuss this in greater detail under the heading "Taste" below.

I felt that the bar made a nice light snack and I do agree that it is a meal item that you can consume when you need a little bit of added energy during your day.

This is an impressive list of features for a protein bar and it is also claimed that the ingredients sourced and used in the bar do not contain GMOs.
The flavour of the Clif Builder's Bar which I tried was the peanut butter flavour. Overall I enjoyed this flavour and it was not as strong as some peanut butter bars which I have tried before. Primarily, it had peanut butter taste and not peanut butter texture which I find is a little annoying to eat at times. I find that in the centre of the bar it tasted a little salty which seemed a little odd to me, but was not a major problem for the taste.
Overall, I felt that the Clif Builder's Bar was a good bar and a nice addition to my long and growing list of protein/energy bars that I have reviewed. 270 calories and 20 grams of protein is roughly exactly what I hope for in a protein bar, so it definitely delivered what I wanted in terms of nutrition. It tasted good and was neither too sugary tasting nor was too bland either. The price for a box of 12 bars is $19.89 which may be a little steep but in my opinion worth it for an overall very good bar. Everything considered I award this bar a 8/10 overall score and I will definitely try it again.
